DIRECTOR OF OFFSHORE GAMING WELCOMES THE RETURN OF CARIBBEAN SPORTS BOOK INC.

 Director of Off Shore Gaming Kaye McDonald, of Antigua and Barbuda’s Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC) welcomes back Caribbean Sports Book Inc, to the jurisdiction of Antigua and Barbuda. Caribbean Sports Book operation officially returned to Antigua and Barbuda September 1, 2004. On December 6, 2004 the Director of Offshore Gaming presented to Caribbean Sports Book Inc., Marketing Manager

Ms. Lila Leslie an official welcome letter on behalf of the Financial Services Regulatory Commission. “The return of Caribbean Sports Book Inc., is indicative of the vibrancy of our industry and that Antigua and Barbuda is a jurisdiction of choice with a well regarded regulatory frame work. The Director also said that it is with sincere hope that Caribbean Sports Book Inc and FSRC will be able to form the synergies to ensure the advancement of the industry profile in the international community”. Ms. Leslie thanked the FSRC for the warm welcome and underscored by saying that “the Management of Caribbean Sports Book and Casino thinks that Antigua and Barbuda is the venue for the future and felt that the new Government understands the value of the Gaming Industry, Antigua stood up for itself with the WTO’s case and that spoke loudly to Gaming enthusiast”. Ms. Leslie also made mention that the Sports Book CEO was not available at the time of the interview which was due to a heavy work load but that the Board of Directors proudly accepted the letter.

 The Director of Offshore Gaming also indicated that the “Division of Gaming is working on several new initiatives that are responsive to the industry and at the same time serve to strengthen and enhance Antigua and Barbuda’s offshore gaming regulations. Ms. McDonald added that, “fundamentally, the initiatives are intended to strike a balance between effective regulation and a harmonious business environment”.
